BENJAMIN W. WONG, CFP®, AIF®, MANAGING PRINCIPAL
VIEWPOINT - PLEASANTON
Since 1983, I have enjoyed seeing clients find security and a feeling of success in their financial lives through my efforts and those of my colleagues. We help them find comfort in a sometimes very scary part of their lives—their finances. Most of us know how to make money in our professions, but very few of us are equipped to manage that wealth, positioning ourselves favorably now and into the future.
I have been an independent investment advisor and registered principal for 34 years. I served on the board of directors for an independent regional broker/dealer for 8 years, which helped me develop a strong sense of the industry and gave me experience in working in a directional decision-making team.
In spite of my role as a business owner, my time at work is primarily spent with clients as their financial planner, investment advisor, and confidant.
I find a lot of release and freedom in playing bass, whether for live performance or recording. I enjoy my family and friends, especially over a meal and a glass of wine. I run and golf when I have time.
*The Financial Times 400 Top Financial Advisors is an independent listing produced annually by the Financial Times (March 2018). The FT 400 is based on data gathered from advisors, broker-dealer home offices, regulatory disclosures, and the FT’s research. The listing reflects each advisor’s status in six primary areas: assets under management (AUM), asset growth, compliance record, experience, credentials and online accessibility. This award does not evaluate the quality of services provided to clients and is not indicative of this advisor’s future performance. Neither the brokerages nor the advisors pay a fee to the Financial Times in exchange for inclusion in the FT 400.
