Consider for a moment how the finances are handled in your relationship. It’s pretty common in relationships for only one partner to handle the finances. Maybe it falls to one partner because they are the primary income provider or perhaps it is perceived one partner is uninterested. When it comes to planning for your financial future, are both parties agreeing on the plan, or are you even discussing it? What if the unthinkable happens and through fate or choice your partner is gone…what will your financial future look like if you aren’t part of the financial discussion?
