KATHY PATTERSON, CFP®, SENIOR FINANCIAL ADVISOR
VIEWPOINT - PLEASANTON
I have been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional for more than 26 years. Early in my career, I felt a special connection to women who were handling their finances alone for the first time. These women would tell me that I had the ability to take a complicated subject and make it simple, that I made it less intimidating, and that they felt empowered. My local bank heard about me and asked that I do a presentation for their widowed clients. That presentation evolved into a workshop for women new to investing, which I taught at Rosa Junior College's Adult Education Department for 10 years.
In 2012, I retired from financial services to pursue an entrepreneurial venture growing microgreens for fine-dining hotels and restaurants. Despite the success we enjoyed, I missed working one-on-one with clients. I sold my half of the business and returned to financial services in 2018.
Ben and I have known each other professionally for more than 20 years. We share a commitment to providing solid, practical advice and using our expertise to help clients build and protect their investment portfolios.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 41 years. We live in Sebastopol with our two daughters, both now in college.
